We are pleased to share that The Rt Revd Humphrey Southern will be joining our 2023 Annual Assembly (AGM), at Southwark Cathedral on Thursday 16 November 2023 as we explore together how we can continue to best support Anglican clergy and their families.

If you are not a Governor, and would like to attend the Annual Assembly and play a key role in the charity's work, we would be delighted to welcome new sign-ups to this role, which is the Trust's accountability body.

Bishop Humphrey Southern

The Rt Revd Humphrey Southern, Principal of Ripon College Cuddesdon said:

"I am honoured to have been invited to attend the Annual Assembly. The Trust’s support of ordinands, as well as of clergy, is of the utmost importance and it will be good to have the opportunity to acknowledge that and to say something about how formation is being shaped in the contemporary church."

Bishop Humphrey was appointed Bishop of Repton in the Diocese of Derby in 2007 and Principal of Cuddesdon in 2015, where he liaises closely with sponsoring Bishops and Directors of Ordinands (DDOs), and supports final-year students in establishing themselves in curacies.

Become a Governor

To become a Governor and join us for our Annual Assembly, we ask that you make a one-off £100 donation to support our work.

Governors support Clergy Support Trust by acting as ambassadors who promote the work of the Trust, by being advocates for our grants and services, by holding our Trustees to account, and by sharing their views and electing our Court of Assistants.

If you have any questions about Governorship, email us at hello@clergysupport.org.uk.
