Who is eligible for support in a household?
Some of our support is designed to help the whole household, such as Financial Support grants, Wellbeing and Emergency grants. Other support is more tailored to individuals within your immediate family, such as Health grants. Not everyone who lives in your household may be eligible.
Who is eligible
- The applicant with the link to the charity (eg. serving or retired Anglican clergy person, ordinands, the spouse or partner of these, clergy widow/ers; and those who have left active ministry)
- Former spouse or partner of a serving or retired Anglican clergy person
- Dependent children under the age of 18
Who may be eligible, in some circumstances
- Dependent adult children aged 18-25 (we would expect those not in education, training or employment to be accessing state benefits)
- Dependent adult children aged 25+ (usually those with severe long-term or life-limiting health conditions)
Who is not eligible (unless ordained themselves)
- Independent adult children of clergy
- Parents of clergy
- Non-related parties living in the household, such as lodgers
Need more clarity?
If you are unsure if a household member is eligible for support, please get in touch with us to discuss this. Please note, we can not support households where an eligible clergy person has not served or trained in the geographic areas listed at the top of this page.
