The Stewards of the Festival were responsible for organising the annual Festival until 1975 when this task was taken over by the staff of what is now Clergy Support Trust.

The historic title of Steward has been retained to ensure continuity and is today a means whereby supporters can demonstrate their support for the Festival and for the work of the charity.

There is also an opportunity (subject to space) to process at the service at St Paul's Cathedral (when services resume) alongside the processions of the clergy and Masters and other representatives of City Livery companies.

In 2021, your name will be mentioned in the Order of Service and on-screen if you apply for or renew your Stewardship by 10 Apr 2021. Please note: the 2020 Festival was cancelled, but Stewardship has been noted and accrued.

Currently, you can apply to be a steward for a minimum donation of £50 per year for which you can choose to have your name printed in the Festival Order of Service.
