Earlier this year we found ourselves facing a move (quite a distance) further north but also had our son moving to London to University and our daughter needing to find somewhere to live near Manchester where she was already established in a low paid job but who until our move had been living at home.
Although my son received the government grants for his education and we received the usual clergy moving grant, we found the burden of my sons living costs, decorating the new vicarage and my daughter's new home and furnishing her home a huge financial concern.
Thankfully we received a grant from Clergy Support Trust and it was a huge answer to our prayers. My son has just enjoyed his first full term at University and my daughter has settled into her new home and this has helped me and my wife considerably into settling into our new parish. We are very thankful for the help we have received.
