Church collections
There are many unique, exciting ways that you and your Church can fundraise to support clergy and their families, from bake sales to quiz nights, coffee mornings to a collection, during or after your regular Sunday service.
"25 people attended a midweek afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea, and we raised £183. We know from experience how much the Trust helps clergy and clergy families through tough times."
- Gloria, St Mary's Shortlands Church

Payroll giving
Make a difference with a regular, tax-free gift, direct from your salary.
Payroll Giving allows you to give directly to charity from your salary, before tax is deducted. This means if you give £10 a month to Clergy Support Trust and are a basic rate taxpayer, the gift will only cost you £8 from your net pay.
Payroll Giving is easy to set up with your employer, and you can change your donation at any time by informing your HR department at work.
Small, regular gifts can have a big impact. By donating through payroll giving, you can support applicants like Albert. After facing a difficult period of personal challenges, we were privileged to provide Albert with a grant to return home to Ghana, to rest, recharge and enjoy the company of family and friends, many of whom he had not seen in three years.
Become a Steward
Stewards are our closest circle of supporters. They commemorate the past, while championing the future.
They play a key ceremonial role in our historic Festival Service at St Paul's Cathedral each year, and contribute towards the success of one of the oldest choral music events in the world.
Stewards take part in the majestic procession at the start of the service, alongside Bishops, Livery Masters, Prime Wardens, Upper Baliffs and other representatives of the City of London.
For an annual donation of £75, Stewards also:
- Access excellent priority seating
- Have their support acknowledged in our Order of Service
- Attend exclusive events, such as Receptions with our Chief Executive
- Support our work with thousands of households in need
