If you like who we are and what we do, there are a range ways that you can help Clergy Support Trust.
Donations are critical to our ongoing work, volunteer fundraisers are always welcome, and sharing our messaging on social media is vital in helping us to spread the word - but one thing can help us more than anything else, and it will cost you absolutely nothing!
Please pray for the work of Clergy Support Trust.
Your prayers will join with all those who have told us they would like to pray for our vital work with clergy and their families. We hope this page helps support you in your prayers for the Trust. Thank you.
The charity prayer
Clergy Support Trust has its own charity prayer. We are led in this prayer at our annual Festival Service at St Paul's Cathedral.
Lord, we pray thee that thy grace
may always prevent and follow us;
and make us continually to be given to all good works,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Alternatively, if you'd prefer a longer prayer, the prayer below is also similarly used at special events held by Clergy Support Trust.
I offer thanks and praise to the glory of God, in fellowship with Clergy Support Trust. I pray for God’s blessing upon its work of relieving those in need and those under pressure, so that the ministry of the Church may continue to bear the fruits of the Gospel of Christ.
I pray for those in ministry and in service of the Church universal, that they may have the resources they need to share the good news of Christ with all. And I pray that, as God inspired men and women of faith, hope and charity to follow Christ and support the work of Clergy Support Trust, so may I be inspired with a generous heart and an enlightened mind in the service of the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
Things to pray for
We recognise that everyone prays in their own special way. If you'd prefer not to use our charity prayer, please do pray in whatever way feels best for you. Below are a few points that come up frequently in our own prayers, and we hope prove helpful for you. Please pray for:
- Clergy and their families, as they face the challenges and joys that come with life and ministry.
- The Trust and our staff, as we support more clergy households than ever before.
- Church leaders, that they will champion the wellbeing of the clergy for whom they care.
- Our Patron, His Majesty The King, as well as our Honorary Presidents, Honorary Vice Presidents and Trustees, who guide our work.
"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."
