After twenty years of supporting Christian leaders, our friends at The Mind and Soul Foundation are closing their doors. Their team have generously chosen to pass many of their informative and enriching blog posts, articles and digital resources onto us, which will find a new home in our upcoming Support Hub, due to launch at the end of this year.

Two leading clergy support charities, The Mind and Soul Foundation and Clergy Support Trust, have today announced their amalgamation, bringing together Mind & Soul’s 20-year legacy in mental health with Clergy Support Trust’s established support for the wellbeing of Anglican clergy and their households.

Through the collaboration, resources from Mind & Soul’s pioneering resource library, reflecting its expertise and trusted voice at the intersection of Christian faith, leadership and mental health will become part of Clergy Support Trust’s broad wellbeing offer. This will ensure that these resources continue to equip and encourage clergy for years to come.

"For 20 years, Mind & Soul has sought to help Christian leaders and communities speak honestly, wisely and hopefully about mental health. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has used and shared these resources over the years."

"This new partnership means that elements of our content will find a new home within Clergy Support Trust’s wider programme. We are delighted to bring our work together with the Trust, where it can continue to equip and encourage clergy, church leaders and communities."

The Revd Will Van Der Hart
Director, The Mind and Soul Foundation

"Over several centuries, Clergy Support Trust has joined forces with other charities to develop a generous, broad offer to clergy – indeed, the current charity is an amalgamation of several historical ones. We are delighted that Mind & Soul are now joining our family."

"Their work has made an important contribution to the conversation about faith, leadership and mental health. As the Trust develops its own suite of resources for clergy, we will be better able to serve clergy and their households with the benefit of the foundation's experience and materials."

The Revd Ben Cahill-Nicholls
Chief Executive, Clergy Support Trust

For two decades, the foundation has helped churches and Christian leaders engage more deeply with emotional and mental health, changing the conversation about wellbeing, ministry and faith. Its work has equipped leaders and communities with psychologically informed and theologically grounded resources, including articles, audio, video, training materials and practical guidance.

The Mind and Soul Foundation will be formally wound up, with its resources and financial assets donated to Clergy Support Trust. Mind & Soul supporters can choose to receive updates from Clergy Support Trust, enabling them to continue receiving relevant resources and guidance on clergy wellbeing.

The Trust are confidential, independent, inclusive, and impartial, and we support clergy from training through to retirement. In 2025, we supported over 2,900 households with more than 7,000 grants.
The Mind and Soul Foundation was set up 20 years ago to explore Christianity and mental health, providing resources for leaders, churches and communities on wellbeing, leadership and faith. Its resources, expertise and legacy are now becoming part of Clergy Support Trust's new Support Hub.
