We are delighted to announce that Tonya Goldring has been appointed as our new Head of Finance & Operations, in succession to Kris Davidson who retires this autumn.

As senior manager responsible for the Trust’s operations functions, Tonya will be a critical member of the Trust’s team. Her role will include oversight of financial management and planning, our office and other properties, IT infrastructure and strategy, health and safety, and general administration.

A key member of the senior leadership team, Tonya will report to the Chief Executive, and additionally serve as the Trust’s data protection champion.

Tonya brings significant experience and expertise from a range of senior finance positions. Currently, she is Financial Controller at World Villages for Children, an international Christian charity. Tonya also has excellent understanding of the benevolent and grant-making world, having been Finance Manager at GroceryAid.

Earlier in her career, she held a number of finance posts in the education and hospice sectors. A chartered accountant, Tonya has also used her finance knowledge volunteering with the Scouts and as a school governor.

Tonya has fantastic experience in charity finance, and in operations management for a range of sectors and organisations. I know the Trust will benefit from her knowledge and skill, as well as her evident passion for the work we do, and for the period of growth which we are currently in.

I am very happy indeed to be joining Clergy Support Trust at a time when it is expanding the support services available to beneficiaries, and excited to work with its staff, Trustees and people helped over coming years. I believe firmly in the importance of efficient, effective support functions in high-performing charities, and look forward to leading these at Clergy Support Trust.

Tonya will join the Trust on Monday 4 October, 2021.
